Septic System

Setting up a septic system here (Mojave County, AZ) is pretty straightforward. You first get a permit from the Mohave County Environmental Health Division, you then have the soil tested for perculation by a soil engineer (this determines the size of your drain fields), you install the septic system, have it inspected and then cover it up. You determine the size of the tank (based on how many bedrooms your structure will contain) and most of the rest of it can be handled by your contractor.

There are several contractors in the area who install septic systems. The Real Estate office we dealt with (Golden Valley Realty) had a list free for the asking of local contractors.

We used Cunningham Construction Company, in Golden Valley (phone (520) 565-3313) and were pleased with the transaction. They did what they said they would, when they said they would do it, at the price they quoted. You can't ask for better than that, in my opinion.
