Everly Brothers
Don and Phil Everly became known for steel-string guitar playing and close harmony singing. Don was born in 1937 and Phil in 1939. Their first successful recorded song was "Bye Bye Love" in 1957. Their music hit the charts in the years 1957-1973. The duo split in 1973 to pursue solo careers. They reunited in 1983 and continued to sing solo and together until 2006. Phil Everly died on January 3, 2014.
